ihram belt

Hijj and Umara are two important pilgrimage journeys for Muslims, and the ihram belt is a significant part of the attire worn during these pilgrimages.

The ihram belt is a piece of cloth or a belt that is tied around the waist of the person who is performing the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage. It is made of a simple white fabric and is worn by both men and women to secure the lower garment (Izar) and to hold other essential items such as money and identification cards.

The belt is also called "Miqat belt" as it marks the point beyond which pilgrims entering Makkah are not allowed to proceed without assuming the state of Ihram, which is a sacred state of ritual purity and devotion.

During the Hajj and Umrah, Muslims are required to wear simple and modest clothing to emphasize the equality of all pilgrims before Allah. The ihram belt is an essential item in this clothing, and it also serves a practical purpose by keeping the lower garment secure and making it easier to move around during the pilgrimage
